Which plug goes in the distributor ..?

i have a fuel injected automatic EG8 civic 92 model.....i changed the distributor /spark plugs %26amp; plug wire today but the car DON'T wanna start ...i don't know if i placed the plug wires in the WRONG hole in the distributor %26amp; engine...if i did the car is NOT starting... can anyone tell me how to place the PLUG WIRES from the engine to the distributor....? How do u check it ...ok u standing infront the engine .....the spark plug hole to the LEFT is the first.(1)..? can anyone tell me ....???Which plug goes in the distributor ..?

Four plugs - look at the intake manifold for firing order but the center cap button belongs to the coil wire..
Not sure about your fireing order, but it sounds like you have wires mixed up. Should be easy to find the order somewhere online. Also did you crimp the wires in the boots right, getting a good connection. You could even have your spark plugs unlined or the boots not all the way down. I could not be sure. Goodluck.
Did u replace the distributor or just the dis cap? If just the cap (I know u dont want to here this) the easiest thing to do is go to ur local auto parts store and buy a hanes or Chilton's service manuel because they come in very handy and have pics as well as telling u the firing order. If u replace the distributor u have to readjust ur timing.
usually it will tell you the order somewhere on the engine or manifold.

the wire from the coil goes into the center of the distributor.

Make sure you have the wires in the right order (check the rotation direction of the distributor).

If you had the distributor our, you may have to static time the distributor before you can get it started to properly set the timing.

Bring up the timing mark to TDC, aim the distributor to the #1 plug. You may have to rotate the distributor slightly one way or the other to get it right.

The timing mark comes up twice per cam cycle, so you may need to swap the 2 wires (not #1 %26amp; opposite) if it seems to fire, but won't start %26amp; backfires.
i own a repair shop,and you need to purchase a good repair manual for this car,,it will help you a lot in the future with some of the jobs you,ll be doing with this car,get a good Haynes repair manual there the best for easy reading,and pics also,,good luck,i hope this helps.,,have a good x-mas.
The plug nearest the belts for the water pump alt etc. is the #1 plug. Pull that plug have a friend crank the engine over in little bursts. Put your finger into the plug hole when you feel and heard air rush out around your finger it at top dead centre for #1 Cly pull the dist cap . Look where the rotor is pointing that #1 Cly firing . Locate where that is on the cap and put #1 Cly wire there. As you were bumping the engine over you should have notice witch way the rotor was spinning so follow that path next to fire should be #3 Cly put that wire there Now comes #4 Wire Then last is #2 wire. put the plug back in and install the cap again. Try and start it if it runs smooth great your done but if its rough you may have the # 23 wire out of order just switch them and you should be good to go
My friend , It's not at all difficult.All you have to do is go to the local auto parts store and get a chilton's manual or haynes manual that will cover your particular model vehicle. There is a wealth of knowledge in these books . You will be amazed at how easy you can solve most of your car problems and save money too.Good luck Be kind.
